PARTNER TYPE · DATACENTRE & COLOCATION

Add cloud to your datacentre without building the platform yourself

EU Cloud in a Box is placed in your datacentre and integrated with the infrastructure you already operate. You offer IaaS and separate cloud environments under your own brand, while Edora delivers and operates the cloud platform behind it.

THE PARTNER MODEL

You operate the datacentre. We deliver the cloud layer.

You already have the building, the power, the cooling, the connectivity and the relationship with the customers. With Edora you can add compute, storage and self-service without developing and maintaining a cloud platform yourself.

You acquire EU Cloud in a Box and resell the cloud capacity under your own brand and at your own prices. Edora operates the technical foundation in the background.

The white-label model defines how portal, billing, customer environments and responsibilities are divided between you and Edora.

THE BUSINESS

Extend colocation with cloud under your own brand

The cloud layer lets you deliver a larger share of the customer's infrastructure from the same location and the same relationship you already own.

Extend the relationship with existing customers

Offer compute, storage and cloud management to customers that already have equipment or workloads placed with you.

The customer can consolidate colocation and cloud capacity with one supplier, while you extend the offering beyond rack space, power and cooling.

A product with your name on it

The cloud environments are delivered through a portal under your own brand. You define the product packages, the prices and the commercial relationship with the end customer.

Consumption data and separate customer environments provide the basis for administration and billing.

Services on top of the infrastructure

Combine the cloud capacity with the services that fit your business, for example connectivity, operations, backup, security or geographical redundancy.

Cloud then becomes a new service layer on top of the physical datacentre capacity.

A European foundation for customers with stricter requirements

The cloud platform delivered by Edora is 100% Danish-owned and operated under Danish and EU law. That gives you a clear position with customers that have requirements for the location, ownership and control of their cloud infrastructure.

FROM RACK TO CLOUD PRODUCT

Three layers make the model work

  1. 01

    Place the cloud capacity

EU Cloud in a Box is delivered as a combined hardware and software platform and installed in your datacentre. The rack is integrated with your existing power, cooling and network infrastructure.

The specific configuration is determined by customer needs, workloads and the capacity required.

  2. 02

    Connect the location

The datacentre can be connected to the relevant customer, partner and Edora locations through Edora Cloud Connect.

That makes it possible to carry traffic between the customer and the cloud environment without public internet transit between the directly connected locations. Several locations can be included where the solution requires geographical redundancy.

  3. 03

    Sell under your own brand

You create customer environments, define product packages and use the platform’s consumption data as the basis for billing.

The customer meets your brand and your commercial set-up. Edora remains the underlying platform provider.

IS THE MODEL RELEVANT?

An obvious match if you want to raise the value of your datacentre

The partner model is particularly relevant if you:

  • Operate datacentre or colocation capacity today
  • Have customers asking for compute, storage or dedicated cloud environments
  • Want to offer cloud under your own brand and at your own prices
  • Want to extend the business without building a cloud platform from scratch
  • Have customers with requirements for European operations, jurisdiction or data location

If that describes your business, the first conversation starts from your existing locations and customers, not from a standard package.

FIRST CONVERSATION

Find out whether cloud fits your datacentre business

The first conversation gives you a concrete answer to three questions. We start with your current set-up: location, capacity, infrastructure and customer types. Then we clarify what you want to offer, from existing tenants to a full white-label cloud set-up. Finally we outline a realistic next step covering capacity, placement and division of responsibility.
