PARTNER TYPE · TELCOS AND INTERNET PROVIDERS

Sell cloud on the infrastructure you already own

Edora delivers EU Cloud in a Box to your datacentre and connects the capacity with Edora Cloud Connect. You sell cloud under your own brand and keep the customer relationship, the pricing and the commercial control. Edora operates the underlying cloud foundation.

THE PARTNER MODEL

You own the network and the customer. We deliver the cloud layer.

Telcos and internet providers already have large parts of the foundation a cloud business requires: the network, the physical locations and the relationship with business customers.

With Edora you get compute, storage and cloud management on top of that existing infrastructure. You sell the capacity as your own offering, while Edora operates the technical foundation behind it.

It is the same cloud platform that Edora’s own products already run on. You therefore do not get a separate partner platform, but a foundation we depend on ourselves in day-to-day operations.

The white-label model defines how brand, portal, billing, customer environments and responsibilities are divided between you and Edora.

THE BUSINESS

Extend the fibre business with cloud under your own brand

Cloud becomes a natural extension of the connectivity you already deliver. You can bring network, compute and storage together in a single offering without first building an organisation to develop and operate a cloud platform.

See security and compliance

Combine connectivity and cloud

Offer business customers both the connection and the cloud environment behind it. The customer gets a single supplier relationship, while you deliver a larger share of their digital infrastructure.

A product with your name on it

The cloud environments are delivered through a portal under your own brand. You define the product packages, the prices and the commercial relationship with the end customer.

Consumption data and separate customer environments provide the basis for administration and billing.

A direct connection to the customer's cloud environment

The customer’s location can be connected to the cloud capacity through your network and Edora Cloud Connect.

Traffic can then be carried between the customer and the cloud, and between the directly connected locations, without public internet transit.

A European foundation for customers with stricter requirements

The cloud platform delivered by Edora is 100% Danish-owned and operated under Danish and EU law. That gives you a clear position with customers that have requirements for the location, ownership and control of their cloud infrastructure.

FROM NETWORK TO CLOUD PRODUCT

Three layers make the model work

  1. 01

    Place the cloud capacity

EU Cloud in a Box can be placed in your own datacentre and integrated with the existing power, cooling and network infrastructure.

If you would rather not commit your own datacentre capacity, the infrastructure can be hosted with Edora and connected to your network.

The specific configuration is determined by customer needs, workloads and expected capacity.

  2. 02

    Connect the network

Your network can be interconnected with Edora Cloud Connect through direct peering or dark fibre, depending on location and architecture.

Cloud Connect is based on redundant optical links and distributed EVPN/BGP routing. It connects the relevant customer, partner and Edora locations in a single network architecture.

  3. 03

    Sell under your own brand

You create customer environments, assemble product packages and use the platform’s consumption data as the basis for billing.

The end customer meets your brand and your commercial set-up. Edora remains the underlying platform provider.

The cloud layer is based on OpenStack, KVM and Ceph and is operated and maintained by Edora.

RELEVANCE

An obvious match if you want to extend the business from connectivity to cloud

The partner model is particularly relevant if you:

  • Operate your own fibre or data network
  • Have business customers asking for cloud capacity
  • Want to combine connectivity and cloud in one offering
  • Want to offer cloud under your own brand and at your own prices
  • Can place capacity in your own facilities or interconnect with Edora
  • Want to build a cloud business without developing and operating the platform yourself
  • Have customers with requirements for European operations, jurisdiction or data location

If that describes your business, the first conversation starts from your network, your locations and your existing customers, not from a standard package.
