Offer software on a sovereign European cloud foundation

Edora delivers the dedicated infrastructure, the cloud platform and the underlying operations behind your product. You still own the application, the customers and the commercial model, and you can offer a European hosting option without building the cloud foundation yourself.

RUNNING ON EDORA

THE OPERATING MODEL

Focus on your core business

You retain full ownership of the application and the customers. We operate the cloud foundation.

Your product, your roadmap and your customer relationships remain entirely your domain. Edora delivers the technical foundation, including compute, storage, networking and the cloud platform itself, that keeps your solution running reliably and lets it scale.

The end customer continues to deal directly with you. Edora acts solely as your underlying infrastructure partner and has no commercial relationship with your customers.

Our model lets you offer software on secure European infrastructure without investing time and resources in building an internal organisation to operate and continuously develop the platform. You can focus on your software; we look after the engine room.

THE BUSINESS

Make the operating model part of the product's value

For customers with critical data, the infrastructure behind the application has become part of the purchasing decision. With Edora you can make European operations, clear jurisdiction and a more open cloud foundation part of your offering.

A European hosting option

Offer your customers a variant of your product where the application and the data run on European infrastructure under European jurisdiction.

That lets you meet the needs of customers who assess not only the software’s features, but also where and under what terms it is operated.

Access to customers with stricter requirements

A documented operating model can strengthen your position with public sector organisations and businesses in regulated or critical sectors.

Edora’s platform can support your work on requirements under NIS2, DORA and GDPR, among others. Overall compliance still depends on the infrastructure, the application and your own processes alike.

Less dependence on proprietary cloud services

Edora Cloud is based on OpenStack, KVM, Ceph and open standards. That provides a more portable foundation and reduces dependence on a single proprietary cloud platform.

How much rework is required depends on the services and integrations your application uses today.

Dedicated capacity behind the product

The cloud capacity is matched to the application’s workloads, customer needs and availability requirements. The physical infrastructure is dedicated and is not shared with unrelated customers.

The capacity can be hosted with Edora or placed in a suitable facility as EU Cloud in a Box.

FROM APPLICATION TO OPERATIONS

Clarify first. Then move.

A migration is not only about server capacity. The application's dependencies, data flows and use of proprietary services determine what can be moved directly and what requires adaptation.

  1. 01

    Map the application

We review architecture, workloads, data flows, integrations and the current operating environment.

You get an overview of which parts can be moved directly, which require adaptation, and which should perhaps stay on the current platform.

  2. 02

    Design the cloud foundation

We define compute, storage, networking, placement and availability requirements. Where the solution calls for it, relevant customer and cloud locations can be connected through Edora Cloud Connect.

The specific architecture starts from the application, not from a standard package.

  3. 03

    Establish a clear operational boundary

Edora builds and operates the cloud platform. You retain responsibility for the application, releases, application security and support for your customers.

The division of responsibility is documented, so it is clear who handles each layer of the overall delivery.

IS THE MODEL RELEVANT?

An obvious match when the infrastructure has become part of the sale

The partner model is particularly relevant if you:

  • Deliver your own software as SaaS or a hosted solution
  • Face questions about where your customers’ data is processed and stored
  • Want to offer a European operating model to selected customers
  • Want to reduce dependence on proprietary hyperscaler services
  • Have a customer base and workload volume that can support dedicated capacity
  • Want to own the application layer without operating the cloud platform yourself

If that describes your situation, we start from your application and your customers’ requirements, not from a generic hosting model.

FIRST CONVERSATION

Find out whether Edora fits behind your product

The first conversation clarifies whether the application can be moved, what the operating model needs to solve and for whom, and what the next step is. We review architecture, data flows, integrations and dependencies, and outline a possible platform, capacity, placement and division of responsibility, so you can assess both technical and commercial relevance.
