EDORA CLOUD · RENEWABLE DATACENTRES

Compute where the wind blows and the sun shines

New datacentres wait years for a grid connection, AI demands more power than the grid can deliver, and dependency on non-EU hyperscalers has become a risk. Edora Cloud runs on sovereign, green infrastructure that we own and operate ourselves on Danish soil, under European jurisdiction, with the power capacity in place from day one.

THE CONCEPT

The power does not move. The datacentre does.

The renewable datacentres are sited directly inside hybrid energy parks, where local wind and solar generation is combined with battery storage. The batteries even out generation and supply power when wind and sun are not producing enough. The electricity grid acts as backup during longer periods of low generation.

The first planned location, in Mariagerfjord, combines 10 MW of wind and solar with 42 MWh of battery capacity and is dimensioned for datacentre consumption of 3–4 MW.

When the energy is generated at the datacentre, dependency on the spot market and the need for new grid capacity both fall. At the same time, the datacentre is connected to Cloud Connect’s closed, redundant fibre network.

THE VALUE

Four things you gain by standing in the park

No waiting for the grid

Other datacentres wait years for a grid connection. In the park, the connection is the park. You are in operation while others are still queuing.

An electricity price you can rely on

The power comes from the park’s own generation, not the spot market. Roughly 50% lower, and fixed for the whole contract period.

Green operations you can document

No purchased certificates. The renewable share is measured in the park and can be audited for ESG and CSRD reporting.

Capacity for AI from the start

Designed with enough power per rack and liquid cooling, so AI workloads do not require a rebuild later.

PRODUCTS

Your own datacentre in the energy park

Every unit is delivered 100% dedicated, meets compliance requirements, is designed for AI workloads with enough power per rack and liquid cooling, and attaches to the closed fibre network.

Container

Container

Fastest into operation, and relocatable.

20 racks, 0.5 MW, 2× redundant 100 Gbit fibre. Can be evacuated by lorry if needed.

Lead time 4–6 months.

Standard

Standard

For small and mid-sized sites.

30 racks, 2 MW, 2× redundant 100 Gbit fibre, access control and fire suppression.

Lead time 6–8 months.

Bunker

Bunker

For critical IT infrastructure.

100+ racks, 5 MW, reinforced physical protection.

Lead time 6–8 months.

Large

Large

A datacentre as you know it, only inside the energy park.

500+ racks, 15+ MW, customer cages.

Lead time 48 months.

RESILIENCE

Built to withstand what society is being tested by

Physical protection

The solutions can be built with a raised foundation, perimeter protection, access control and further hardening according to the customer’s risk profile.

Made in Denmark

The units are manufactured and commissioned in Denmark. That gives a shorter and more controllable supply chain.

Mobile capacity

The container solution can be relocated with the installed infrastructure if operations need to move to another location.

Geographic redundancy

Capacity can be distributed across independent energy parks, so a local energy or infrastructure failure does not affect all operations. Location and access information is handled according to agreed security and compliance requirements.

  • We put the servers where the power is generated: directly inside the energy park. That delivers measurable green operations, a stable electricity price and less strain on the grid.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

The honest account

Does it run 100% on renewable energy?

No, around 95%. The batteries cover nights and calm periods, and the grid stands as backup for the remaining 5% or so. We document the actual share rather than promising a round number.

What happens during longer calm periods?

The battery bank carries operations, and the grid takes over as backup. Operations never depend on the weather at any given moment.

Are the renewable datacentres in operation today?

The first location is under construction in Mariagerfjord. The cloud platform and the fibre network are already in operation in existing datacentres, so the technology is proven before the parks open.

Is the 50% saving guaranteed?

It is an estimate based on own generation rather than the spot market. The actual price is agreed in the dialogue and stays fixed for the contract period.

Who operates the unit?

Edora operates and administers it, on the same platform and SLA as in the existing datacentres. The unit is 100% dedicated to you.
